Vacancies & Eligibility Criteria:
- Civil Engineer: Candidates must possess a degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Electrical Engineer: Applicants should have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Mechanical Engineer: Candidates must hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Eligibility: Applicants must be citizens of India and meet the essential qualifications specified for each position.
- Age Limit: The upper age limit is relaxable as per government guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Divyangjan categories.
- Experience: Relevant experience in the respective engineering field may be required as per the job description.
Dates to Consider:
- Application Window: The online application window opens on January 30, 2024, and closes on February 29, 2024, at 05:30 PM.
- Submission Deadline: Hard copies of applications must reach the institute by March 15, 2024, before 05:00 PM.
- Examination Dates: Trade tests and written examinations will be held in Bengaluru, with dates to be announced later.
Mode of Recruitment:
- Screening of Applications: A Screening Committee will scrutinize applications, adopting criteria for shortlisting candidates based on the job requirements.
- Stage I (Trade Test): Shortlisted candidates will undergo a Trade Test, qualifying in nature, to assess their practical skills.
- Stage II (Competitive Written Examination): Candidates qualifying the Trade Test will progress to a Competitive Written Examination. The examination includes three papers: Mental Ability Test, General Awareness & English Language, and a Concerned Subject.
- Evaluation and Merit List: Papers II and III will be evaluated for candidates meeting the minimum threshold in Paper I. The final merit list considers the marks obtained in Papers II and III.
- Centre of Tests: The Trade and Written tests will be conducted in Bengaluru. The details of the venue, date, and time will be communicated through the CSIR-4PI website and candidates’ registered email/mobile.
Fee Structure:
- Application Fee: Non-refundable application fees of Rs. 500/- are applicable for each application. SC/ST/PwBD category candidates are exempted from fees. Women applicants, CSIR Employees, and Abroad Candidates are also exempt.
