Additional Eligibility Details:

- All candidates are required to register online with the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal and have a valid approved NATS ID; otherwise, their candidature will be rejected during document verification.
- Age Limit: 18-25 years as of September 1, 2023 (DOB between September 1, 1998, and September 1, 2005).
- Physical Fitness: Candidates should satisfy minimum standards of physical fitness as prescribed in the notification.
- Previous training/experience: Candidates undergoing or completed apprenticeship training under Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973 in any Government/Public Sector Undertaking/Private Industrial Organization are not eligible to apply.
- Register online with the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme portal.

Mode of Recruitment:
- Selection Based on Aggregate Percentage: Candidates will be selected based on the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in their qualifying examination (Graduation/Diploma). The total marks for all years/semesters will be summed up to arrive at an aggregate percentage. No rounding off will be done, and no weightage will be given to any particular semester/year.
- Preference for Land Loser Candidates: Land loser candidates, who have lost their land for the Konkan Railway Project, will be given first preference in the selection process. The definition of a land loser candidate includes individuals whose land was acquired for the project, irrespective of the percentage of land lost. Immediate family members are also eligible.
- Geographical Preference: Candidates belonging to the districts within KRCL’s jurisdiction, including Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg (Maharashtra), North Goa, South Goa (Goa), and Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada (Karnataka), will be given second preference for enrollment in the training program.
- Document Verification: Candidates equalling three times the number of notified seats will be called for the first round of document verification. Further document verification rounds will be conducted as per the requirement.
